The Gathering Place at Kennett is a vibrant, welcoming, community-powered space where adults 55+ come together for friendship, activity, learning, wellness, and fun.
Throughout the year, we offer health and wellness programs, social activities, meals, educational opportunities, information and assistance, volunteer opportunities, and much more.
At just $40 per calendar year, your membership not only provides you with some great benefits, but also helps us maintain an active, welcoming place for adults 55+ throughout Southern Chester County. If you enroll or renew after October 1st of the year, you will receive membership tags for the remainder of the current year and the next calendar year.
Your 2027 membership benefits include:
• Periodic newsletters and updates by email
• Discounts at participating local retail and service businesses
• Kennett YMCA Access on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00–3:00 p.m., including access to the pools, walking track, free weights, and Nautilus and cardio rooms.
Our members may also participate in YMCA programming offered during those hours!
Current opportunities are:
- Intermediate/Advanced Pickleball
- Weekly Mahjong
- Weekly Group Exercise
- Monthly Bingo
When you first visit the YMCA, please bring your TGP@Kennett membership tag. You will be asked to register with the YMCA and will receive a separate YMCA access tag. Some classes and activities require advance online registration or reservations; YMCA staff can assist you with getting started.

And perhaps most importantly, your membership directly supports The Gathering Place at Kennett and helps us provide critical programs and services at no cost to those in our community who need them.
